A bespoke bedroom interior in Amlapura, Bali — designed as a live-work sanctuary that balances raw materiality with warmth and considered detail.
Interior Studio Bedroom is a residential interior commission in Amlapura, East Bali. The brief centred on creating a multi-functional space — a bedroom, workspace, and retreat in one — that could respond to the lush tropical context beyond its walls while maintaining a grounded, intimate atmosphere within. The design was led by the team's Lead Design Architect, who developed the full interior scheme from concept to visualisation. The spatial strategy revolves around a layered material palette: exposed timber ceiling battens, warm limewash plaster walls, and patterned stone flooring establish a textural depth that reads as both artisanal and contemporary. Natural light is treated as a primary design element — full-height sliding doors dissolve the boundary between interior and the surrounding canopy, while carefully positioned artificial lighting creates distinct zones for rest and focused work. The result is a space that feels deliberately composed yet entirely liveable.
